It sucks having an online life because if you're gone for a few days you have SO much catching up to do! I have been spoiled by DSL. I hate this dial up stuff. I mean I thank god it's not as slow as my dad's was, but it still takes forever for picture pages to load. It is taking me down memory lane because I'm remembering when we first got internet and that was back when me and Tony were living w/my dad and my mom lived w/her boyfriend. I'd say in 2000? It's also when my KITH obsession first started, and I remember going to Tavie's Dave Shrine and drinking a few cups of coffee before one of the picture pages had loaded! But I think he had that free internet crap, we're paying for this stuff. And for dial up it is actually pretty fast.(I don't want to jinx it because of how my luck is!) Whats sad is I forgot all about that time period when I lived w/my dad. I guess it was a pretty good time, we had moved in there cause of my mom and Grandma had gotten in a fight so mom made us go live w/dad, while she lived w/her boyfriend. It also brings me to remember that I never did have my own damn room. Even at dad's I had to sleep on the pull out couch in the living room! I don't ever remember if I wrote down here as to how I came to own Brain Candy did I? Well it was also during this time, lol, that I got it. My grandma had asked me who the guys were that I was always watching on TV and I told her "Kids in the Hall" and she had written it down. (she has a bad memory) So she was ordering movies one day from some place over the phone, and she had ment to buy that one movie Boys in the Hood but her papers had gotten mixed up and she ordered Brain Candy by mistake. I know it's a stupid story, but it always amuses me that she ment to order some movie about the ghetto and instead ended up buying me Brain Candy.
Yesterday I went back to Borders and I bought some more things! I got that one book about Second City (I know I don't need anymore books but...) The only reason I bought it was a) Mike Myers was on the cover and b) it was only $4.00!! I also finally broke down and bought the Life of Brian DVD with all the extra stuff on it! (It was WAY worth it!) And I bought a Sloan cd! The only one they had was Pretty Together but it is awsome! I am loving it! I really don't like to buy cds when I don't really know any of the songs but Sarah is always talking about them and she has awsome taste in music so I thought what the hell. Now i'm on the prowl for more of their albums! I don't know where i'm going to get them though because all the stores I go to they only have Pretty Together.
