Ok, this post is taken strate out of my written journal:
Well Sat. the 18th, I took Liz to see Davy Jones for her b-day. It was a great show, I had a blast.(more on that later, I wanna get something off my chest first!) What happened after the show has really been bugging me and making me think alot. See we waited outside by the limo and one by one the band members came out and got into the limo.(I kinda wish I had something for them to sign, they were awsome!) So after waiting for a while Davy comes out and everybody rushed him, except of course for Liz, Me and a few other people.(the people barely let him out the damn door before they were all over him!) I felt bad rushing him and invading his space.(so because I hung back, Liz did to) So because we didn't rush him this fuckn' cop starts telling us to step back. Being the good, respectful little girls that we are, we comply. All the while Davy keeps signing stuff while heading to the limo.(he seemed to be in a hurry) Next thing I know Davy says, "Have we got it?! ok." Then he looks RIGHT at Liz and Me, Waves and says "Bye, Thanks for coming!"(which i'm still all happy about) Then he gets into the limo and leaves! Liz started to cry so we hurried up and left. For me I was happy just to see him in person, having him say "bye!" was a plus for me.(I told Liz that seeing him would be enough fo rme, even before he came out) But I felt bad that Liz didn't get his autograph because he used to be her fav. Monkee. While we were standing there(back when Davy was signing) this guy turns to Liz and Me and says "Better get in line, you've been waiting long enough!" (very cocky guy, not a Davy fan) And for some STRANGE reason this really pissed me off!(I didn't tell Liz this) So he says this and it makes me hesitate more to rush up to Davy.(I just wanted to tell the guy that Davy is a person too! the guy made it sound like Davy owed us something!) I think why it's bothering me is that A) most of the people that got his autograph were the ones that were just into him for his looks and nothing else and the BIGGEST reason B) Liz and me treated him like a human being, not rushing him and shit and we didn't get an autograph! So I am just full of regret that I didn't at least push Liz up there to get an autograph, I could have at least done that right?! Or even introduced her like "Davy this is my friend Liz, I brought her here for her b-day and we had a wonderful time!" But NO because I'm stupid and shy and my life will always be filled with regrets because of being shy and I can't seem to over come it!
I'll post later about the show it's self, but I had to get that out of the way! I want the story to end on a happy note, not a sad one. Because truely and honestly it was a good experience for me! I really enjoyed it!
